The German National Tourist Board (DZT) is organizing the GTM Germany Travel Mart (GTM) 2021. The sales event for German incoming tourism will take place from 27.-29. April as a digital event under the title vGTM 2021.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the partner destination of the vGTM 2021. Around 240 German providers and 460 buyers from international tour operators and online tour operators have so far been accredited for the event.

Petra Hedorfer, Chairwoman of the GNTB Executive Board said “Despite the currently still existing restrictions on international travel, we are sending a clear signal with the vGTM 2021 for the recovery of German incoming tourism. The willingness to travel internationally is high, at the same time, customer needs have developed further in the focus of guests than ever before. German top performers have prepared well for this. Together with our partners, we provide information about current offers and programs in Germany as a travel destination with a focus on building trust and security with regard to the ongoing corona pandemic. ”

She added, “The keen interest of the international participants shows that brand awareness for Germany as a travel destination is unbroken and that the brand enjoys high levels of popularity. At the same time, it confirms the need to maintain contact between our partners in German tourism and international buyers and multipliers even during the Corona crisis. With our digital platform, we present the variety of offers and the attractiveness of the Reiseland Deutschland brand in international competition during and after the pandemic.

Speaking on this occasion, Romit Theophilus, Director Sales and Marketing, German National Tourist Board, India said “A total of 27 tour operators Pan India have registered for the vGTM 2021. The Indian participants from the travel industry will not only be informed about the various attractions of Germany as a destination, but will also have the opportunity to meet personally with the German providers as well as varied panel discussions and webinars in order to present the current situation and new findings on the campaigns that were started to ensure continuous brand awareness and travel inspiration for the travel destination Germany. The vGTM has received an extremely positive response. “

As vGTM 2021, the event not only offers a business platform for direct customer discussions, but also an extensive information program with webinars and panel discussions with experts from the GNTB and the German travel industry. The focus of the discussions is on how the trust of customers can be rebuilt and which security concepts can be implemented, as well as the sale of sustainable products. In addition, product presentations are also carried out by strategic partners. Webinars provide information on the current market-specific demand development in selected source markets.
