Vos Project wins contract for offshore wind project Baltic Eagle

Vos Projectt has received a contract from TKF to supply the cable suspension systems for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea.

A bespoke stress test program has been developed specifically for the project and will be carried out at Vos Product’s bespoke test facility in Klazienaveen.

According to the Dutch company, the TKF cables were tested together with the cable suspension systems in the test program to ensure compatibility.

It is planned to deliver the systems by the end of Q3 2022.

Vos Project is also responsible for supplying cable suspension systems for the first two phases of the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank A and B.

The Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm is being built 30 kilometers north-east of the island of Rügen off the Pomeranian coast in a water depth of 40 to 45 metres.

The 476 MW wind farm will consist of 50 Vestas V174-9.5 MW turbines, which will be pre-assembled and installed in the port of Rönne in 2024.

TKF is responsible for the production and supply of approximately 79 kilometers of 66 kV inter-array cables and related accessories for the project under a contract concluded in August 2021.
