Act of kindness at a Dover vet office restored faith in humanity

IMPRESSIVE! It takes a certain type of person to reach into their wallet and help a complete stranger. And what’s even better is when that person doesn’t want praise or recognition for their good deed. For me, that means that the person is basically good. If we are able to help someone else, we should do it. Because as the old saying goes, “what goes around comes around” and you might find yourself in a similar situation one day.

Emily Brisson was recently on the receiving end of a random act of kindness and went to the “What’s Happening In (or About) Dover NH” Facebook page to share her experience. Your best friend happens to be a golden retriever! Emily’s sweet girl had a tough time when Covid met last year. She found that she had barely got out of bed for three days and just wasn’t acting like herself. Emily took her to the vet and found that she had an infection in her uterus and needed emergency surgery. Emily didn’t have all the money at the time, but she’s slowly paying off what she can. Emily is in the vet’s office so her pup can get an allergy shot that costs $ 230. It was time to pay, and Emily still owed some money for the surgery. She said she would only pay for that day’s visit and would continue to pay monthly.

About an hour later, Emily received a call from the vet’s office. She was pretty confused about why they were calling, but picked up the phone to see why! It turns out someone in the waiting room overheard her talking about her excellent balance and paid it off for her after she left. over $ 200! Emily said it was hard to articulate how much that act of kindness meant to her. “That doesn’t happen to me,” she said! Emily was ready to sell her car if the payments got too high. It’s an amazing weight off her shoulders.

Say hello to the random stranger in the vet’s office for being an incredible person helping a stranger in their distress. I think it is safe to say that you have excellent karma to come!
