Truck, camper van with Pomeranian puppies inside stolen from Langford construction site

Nuggest was safely found on June 7th. You can read the update here.

A Lower Mainland man is frantically searching for his dog after he was stolen along with his truck and RV from a Langford construction site early Thursday morning.

Nugget, a three-month-old Pomeranian puppy, was in an RV in the back of a pickup truck while its owner, who asked not to be identified, installed insulation on a building on Spencer Road near Goldstream Avenue.

He discovered the truck and RV gone missing around 6 a.m. and called RCMP to report the theft.

Later on Thursday, he said the camper was reportedly found dumped in Shawnigan Lake – but Nugget wasn’t inside.

The stolen truck is a gray Ford F250 pickup with license plate PM7621.

Nugget has brown fur on its head and ears, a white patch around its mouth and nose, and a white body.

His owner says Nugget loves everyone he meets and is “torn” about the theft.

“All I want is my dog. That’s it. Take my truck, obviously my camper is going to be a write-off by that point, take out my tools, take out everything, just give me my dog,” he said.

A picture of Nugget posted to the ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing) Facebook group has been shared more than 1,000 times.

The group says there is a “significant reward” for information leading to the pup’s safe return.

Anyone who sees the truck or dog is asked to call ROAM at 778-977-6260 or 778-977-6265.

Police also confirmed Friday that they are investigating and are asking anyone who sees the dog or truck to contact them at 250-474-2264.
