Maureen Rush – Chicago Agent Magazine

Maureen Rush, who was working as a nurse at the time, first found real estate by selling houses as a second source of income. Her nursing experience led her to a job in medical sales, which eventually led her to a real estate sales job as a broker at Sotheby’s International Realty.

She credits her medical experience for teaching her the importance of providing the highest level of customer service. While her nursing experience gave her a strong foundation for wanting to help people, her success as a medical device salesperson taught her the importance of hard work and determination, as well as consistency. “My experience in flipping houses is my secret weapon as I can offer my clients a wide range of services such as: E.g. recommending surfaces to increase the return on investment,” she explains. “Implementing all of these different qualities into my real estate career contributes to my success.”

A Chicago native, Rush retired after college and resides in the West Loop. She has been in the industry for over five years and recently founded Rush Realty which specializes in luxury goods sales, first time home buyers, vendors, investment property sales and new construction. Covering the West Loop, West Town, River North, Gold Coast, Logan Square, Ukrainian Village and Streeterville, she sees hard work and determination mixed with consistency as keys to her success. “I’m always honest, even if it’s not what my client wants to hear,” she says. “I’m very open and trustworthy, making sure my clients know I always have their best interests in mind.”

During the pandemic, Rush had to reconsider how to continue her business. “I’ve been doing my listing appointments, buyer meetings, demonstrations and open houses virtually and my business has grown,” she says. “It was one of the best years I’ve had as a solo agent, hitting $6 million in sales and surpassing that in 2021.” Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, known for being process-oriented and tough at negotiating, credited her for Awarded Platinum Residential Producer in 2021.

Rush is a PAWS supporter and loves spending time with her 5-year-old son and 11-year-old Pomeranian. An avid reader, she enjoys travelling, skiing, hiking and practicing yoga.
