A couple has spent more than £800 on their puppies this Christmas, including £260 on engraved Louis Vuitton collars for the canine duo.

Lauren Knight, 20, and Ryan Carroll, 22, spent hundreds on their Pomeranian Milo, two, and Mimi, five, to ensure they were outfitted in the latest designer clothes for the festive season.

The couple, from Ashford, Kent, spent over £800 on a huge range of Christmas gifts for their dogs, including toys, treats, outfits and stockings to open along with the rest of the family on Christmas Day.

Lauren, who co-owns pet boutique Ro & Friends with Ryan, said: “This is Mimi’s first Christmas with us so we’re going to be giving it our all this year.

“We do a Christmas photoshoot every year to mark the occasion and love creating traditions with the dogs.

“I never budget for Christmas gifts as I just want them to be spoiled, but this year we spent around £800 on their outfits, toys, treats and other small gifts on Christmas Day.

“I love getting them lots of squeaky toys so they have enough that they don’t have to fight over.

“We also get them dog grooming products, treats, new harnesses and leashes, dog paw, outfits, new beds and whatever else they need.

“Mimi’s most expensive this year was an engraved Louis Vuitton necklace which cost £260 alone!

“It’s her first Christmas with us, so we wanted to make sure we celebrate the occasion with something special.”

The couple have bought a range of designer clothes for the pups, including Gucci sweaters and Louis Vuitton accessories, and all of their outfits are kept in their own closet.

Not only are the couple treating them to pricier gifts than most kids will get this Christmas, but they’re also planning the dogs’ Christmas dinner.

Lauren added: “I’ll make sure they have matching sweaters on Christmas day and Milo will be in his Santa outfit and Mimi will be in a Christmas dress!

“I couldn’t leave them out at a Christmas dinner, so they get a variety of meats, veggies and a drizzle of my homemade gravy.

“I love my dogs like my own little babies, so they are just as involved as anyone else I share Christmas with.

“Nice to see them both playing with their new toys and enjoying the day with us!”
